On October 19 and 20, 2024 the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted the second regular ECE licencing exam in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

Registration and oathtaking
According to PRC, on-line registration for the Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be conducted. For first registration, kindly visit www.prc.gov.ph and follow guidelines.

Those scheduled to register must bring the following:
- downloaded appropriately completed Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- notice of entrance (only for identifying purposes)
- Two passport-sized photos with white background and full name tag, colored otherwise.
- Two sets of official stamps for documentation
- One piece of short brown envelope
Examinees who pass should personally register and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals.
Later will be the day of the oath-taking ceremony for the new successful candidates for the specified test.

Visit the “Verification of Rating” page of PRC and supply the necessary data to confirm your identification. Note that this will be accessible couple working days following result announcement.
Coverage of Examinements
The October 2024 ECE board test addressed the following:
- Mathematical 20%
- 30% is electronics engineering.
- Applied sciences and general engineering, or GEAS – 20%
- Thirty percent of electronics systems and technology (EST).
NOTE: For most ECE board test takers in former years, GEAS and EST are regarded as the toughest courses.
ECE RESULT REleasing
Target release of ECE board exam results is on Friday, October 25, 2024 according PRC Resolution No. 1891 s. 2024.
However, there is a chance of delayed distribution of exam results due to government work cancellals on October 23, 24 and 25 in view of the bad weather brought about by Tropical Storm “Kristine.” Takers should keep an eye till October 30 or four (4) working days, we advise.
Results could be released on later date without prior notification or ahead of the intended date.
Past Exam
PRC reported results in three (3) business days for the April 2024 Electronics Engineer board test. Of 3,130 total, 1,330 passed the tests. With 91.80%, Niele Shem Geronimo Bañas from Technological University of the Philippines (TUP)-Visayas acced the board.
PRC issued results in three (3) working days for the October 2023 Electronics Engineer board test. Of 2, 525 candidates who passed the tests, the agency assigned 842. Top on the board with 89.80% was Angelo Cabalu Jacobo of Bulacan State University (BulSU)-Malolos.
PRC also released results in three working days on the April 2023 Electronics Engineer board test. Of 2,935, 953 overall passed the tests. With 88.60%, Joshua Anken Garcia Acusta from Iloilo Science and Tech University topped the board.
PRC reported results for the October 2022 ECE board exam in four (4) working days. Of 2,644 candidates, 785 overall passed the tests. Leading the passes with 91.10% from University of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman was Harold Andre Teodoro Puig.
