Government medical admission requirements in Bangladesh

  • To apply to a govt. medical college you need a minimum GPA 9.00 (SSC+HSC). However, Hill tracts (Adibashi) students can apply with GPA 8.0.

  • Copy of passport
  • 6 passport-size photographs are to reach the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka by Dec-Jan 2024-25.
  •  All certificates must be duly attested by the competent authority, i. e. the Education Ministry of the respective country, and also be authenticated by the respective Bangladesh Missions abroad/Foreign Missions based in Dhaka.
  • Successful applicants will be required to produce all academic certificates and mark sheets/transcripts in original during their admission.

Application fee for a medical course in Bangladesh

Each applicant must include a non-refundable T.T of US$100 (one hundred dollars) with their application. This payment should be made to “The Director, Medical Education, and HMPD, DGHS, Mohakhali, Dhaka, Bangladesh.”

Medical admission circular in Bangladesh 2025

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has announced the Medical Admission Circular for the 2024-25 academic year. According to the circular, students can apply online from January 25 to February 10. The Admission Test will be held on February 25, 2025. Marks distribution system of medical exams in Bangladesh

In the Bangladesh medical college admission test, candidates score out of 300 marks. Here’s how the scoring works:

  • SSC GPA Contribution: Your SSC GPA is multiplied by 15, which can give you up to 75 marks.
